How much do forest huts cost in the canton of Bern?
Published prices for the forest huts listed here: per group or flat rate usually CHF 150 to 200 (median CHF 170). Always check what is included (snack, cake, host) and for how many children.
How do I book?
Contact the municipality that owns it (the link to its booking page is on each listing). Ask about capacity, kitchen equipment, closing time, deposit and any cleaning fee. Weekend dates go fast: book 1 to 3 months ahead.
Can we bring our own cake?
It depends on the venue: many packages include the snack and cake, others accept your own. Mention it in your request, along with any allergies.
How far ahead should I book?
For a Saturday or a Wednesday afternoon, allow 3 to 6 weeks, more in December and before school holidays. Sending the request to 2 or 3 providers improves your chance of a free date.
