Kids' birthday parties in Lausanne: venues, entertainers and prices

Where to hold a child's birthday party in Lausanne

Lausanne has a surprising range for a city its size: trampolines, laser tag, escape rooms, pottery studios, museums, bowling, cinemas and even an aquarium. Within roughly 10 km, KidsConfetti lists 25 venues that host birthdays, 19 of them in the city itself and 4 in Pully. Most offer a package of about two hours, with a room or reserved table for the cake.

Wednesday afternoon, when Vaud schools have no classes, is often easier to book than Saturday. AQUATIS hosts parties on Wednesday afternoons and weekends, Le Fraisier on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm, and Pathé Flon on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 3 pm. Note that Evade Escape Game Lausanne is closed on Saturdays.

Birthday party prices in Lausanne

These are the prices published by venues in Lausanne and Pully, as listed on KidsConfetti in October 2026. They usually cover the activity and a space for the party snack. Always check what is included (drinks, cake, staff) and the price per extra child, which quickly adds up when the guest list grows to 12 or 15 children.

Laser tag, escape rooms and trampolines

For children aged 7 and up, active parties remain the favourite. Laser Game Evolution Lausanne offers packs of one to three 20-minute games at CHF 18 to 48 per person, minimum 6 players, with a snack area where you can bring your own cake. LaseRed Lausanne and UltimEscape in Renens also have birthday offers. At The Jump Spot, jump sessions are booked online with no minimum group size.

Escape rooms suit older children: Evade Escape Game Lausanne targets ages 9 to 17, at CHF 499 for up to 10 guests and CHF 749 for up to 15 (age 13+). Invitations, cake, unlimited drinks and clean-up are included; a game facilitator costs CHF 50 extra. Two or three rooms run in parallel, which helps with larger groups.

Creative workshops, science and museums

For children who would rather make things, Lausanne and Pully have plenty of studios. At KLAYIT each child shapes a clay bowl that is fired and glazed afterwards (CHF 470 for up to 8 children, age 8+). Ceramic Kanvas offers ceramic painting (CHF 460 for up to 10 children), Atelier Aikoo has kids decorate a bear figurine (CHF 47 per person) and X Labs runs dry-ice experiments for ages 7 to 12.

Museums are the most affordable option. The Musée Historique Lausanne runs stained-glass or costume workshops for CHF 170 (12 children), ArchéoLab in Pully offers Roman-themed workshops at CHF 180, and the Musée d'art de Pully charges CHF 180, but only during exhibitions. Note that the Musée de la main UNIL-CHUV is closed from 31 August 2026 to 23 February 2027.

Entertainers who come to your home

If your flat or garden allows it, bringing the entertainment to you saves on travel. Lausanne-based MagicAnim (Mistigri) mixes clowning, magic, games and balloons. Openacte runs theatre sessions at your home from CHF 680, or at its studio for CHF 550 for up to 10 children aged 6 to 13. Cerises Mauves brings its craft workshops with all the materials.

Looking for something different? Kubiq Room in Prilly rents a portable escape game: a three-box children's set for CHF 250 for 24 hours, plus a CHF 200 deposit. Ranch Esperanza in Cossonay brings donkeys, ponies and goats to your home, and Bubble Foot Lausanne organises bubble football matches from age 6 on a pitch of your choice.

Cakes, allergies and decorations

For the cake, Racines plant based in Lausanne makes plant-based cakes in three sizes: about CHF 68 for 10 to 12 people, or CHF 70 gluten-free. Elssi pâtisserie is entirely gluten-free and lactose-free, with orders 48 hours in advance. In Pully, Maman Gâteau estimates about CHF 100 for a one-tier cake serving 14, delivery extra.

For decorations, Tampilipe and The Best Balloons Company in Bussigny supply balloons and décor, with piñatas at CHF 30. A bouncy castle from Animations Spectacles in Ecublens costs from CHF 320 per day excluding VAT, delivery and setup included. Ask about allergies on the invitation. On KidsConfetti, one free request reaches up to 3 providers per category.
